"Hidden in the northwest of Plover Cove Reservoir is the Bride's Pool Nature Trail,
a picture-perfect place with sun-lit woodland and a waterfall with a tragic tale"
Looking out from the green-roofed Lion Pavilion at Bride’s Pool road, revel in the views of the flowing waterfall from a distance. Find your sense of direction before heading down the stairs into the park.
Folk legend has it that a hapless bride fell and drowned in the unforgiving waterfall while on the way to her wedding. To commemorate the bride’s memory, the area was dedicated to her.
To get to the waterfall, you won’t need to venture far, however there are no signposts. Near the entrance, cross the Bride’s Pool Stone Bridge which was built in 1906 to link local villages together. Walk through the main BBQ site and just stay left, following the path for about 10 minutes until you reach rock pools. Before the waterfall is in sight, you’ll need to climb up a few rocks.
Take a dip in the clean water of Bride’s Pool waterfall or choose a spot to sit, relax and enjoy the natural beauty. The best time to visit Bride’s Pool waterfall is after it rains since the water’s flow increases significantly.
There are several easy, enjoyable paths to explore along the Bride’s Pool Nature Trail, guiding you through the park’s local wildlife and flora. The blossoming flowers and chirping birds make Bride’s Pool Nature Trail a nice place for a picnic or a BBQ at one of the many designated sites.
