From Ng Fai Tin, follow the signs on the country trail towards Tai Miu. The trail is very straightforward and if you follow the signs you won't get lost. Thrill seekers can choose to go mountain biking along the designated cyclist trail which is open during weekdays.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Along the way, feast your eyes on a contrasting Hong Kong with wonderful views of Clear Water Bay on your left and the modern, developing Tseung Kwan O on your right.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A brisk walk from the end of the walk is the cultural gem of Tai Miu Wan at Joss House Bay. Built in 1266, it’s HK’s oldest and largest Tin Hau temple.

 

To take the minibus back to the MTR, follow Po Toi O Village road to Po Toi O, a famous seafood village by the waterfront. Here you will find excellent Cantonese restaurants for a well deserved meal.

Directions

From Tseung Kwan O MTR, take minibus 103 or 103M and let the driver know you’ll be stopping at Ng Fai Tin. Alternatively, you can also take KMB bus 91 from Choi Hung MTR and get off at the same stop.

 

To get back from Po Toi O Village, take minibus 16 which will drop you off by the Hang Hau MTR.

7km. About 3 hours long

 

Difficulty

Moderate. Although steep in parts, the path is not too strenuous if you take your time.
